Not just off-the-wall antics with The New Rope String Band and The Chipolatas, Jock is known for his fiddling in Cajun bands such as The Flatville Aces and the Bearcats. He also nurtures a long-time passion for Southern Appalachian old time fiddling for many years, touring worldwide with his regular bands and US acts. He is much in demand as a private and workshop tutor.

Fiddle, guitar, mandolin and vocals. Vera van Heeringen was raised in the acoustic music scene in her native Holland. She toured with The New Rope String Band for almost five years, after which she released her debut album Standing Tall in 2012, followed by a second album Proper Brew in 2015. In 2020 she released an EP in collaboration with Hudson’s very own Neil McSweeney.
