Lucy Farrell (Furrow Collective, Eliza Carthy and the Wayward Band) and Jenny Sturgeon (Salt House, Northern Flyway) are hosting a 10-week block of online songwriting workshops for women, trans and non-binary people. Join us to unearth and explore the art of songwriting in a nurturing and encouraging community. All levels of experience welcome. Workshops will last 90 minutes on Zoom and take place every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm BST.
Thanks to the support of Arts Council England, these workshops are free. However, you can donate to a pay-it-forward pot which will help to ensure that future circles remain open to all.
The current circle is full but we're are now taking expressions of interest for autumn 2021.

"Unearth Songwriting has massively helped my songwriting abilities and has given me a great number of tools in order to continue to develop as a writer. Also, as a member of the Trans community, I found the workshops to have a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and would encourage other members of the Trans and Non Binary community to take part in any future courses"
“It has allowed me to explore avenues that have helped me to develop within my songwriting. More importantly, their kindness and patience has allowed a group of terrific individuals to come together to share their musical experiences and stories within a safe space - something that is truly invaluable in helping women to gain more confidence within the music industry."
“A cosy, lovely community, great for building confidence in writing.”
“From the start Jenny and Lucy established a creative and encouraging atmosphere for all of us taking part, and meeting up with the online group once a week has been inspiring and empowering!
