Hudson Unearth is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company based in Sheffield, Yorkshire that provides support for music projects with an education or community focus.
Like our sister organisation, Hudson Records, we are committed to making music that matters and to serving the community that nurtures folk music tradition in the United Kingdom.
Our work to date includes Unearth Songwriting; a weekly online songwriting circle led by Lucy Farrell and Jenny Sturgeon. We also work with schools to establish extra-curricular music projects that make a difference.
Lucy Farrell (Furrow Collective, Eliza Carthy and the Wayward Band) and Jenny Sturgeon (Salt House, Northern Flyway) are hosting a 12-week block of online songwriting workshops for women, trans and non-binary people. Join us to unearth and explore the art of songwriting in a nurturing and encouraging community. All levels of experience welcome. Workshops will last up to 90 minutes on Zoom and take place every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm GMT starting on 10th February.
The workshops are free but you can donate to help us pay Jenny & Lucy for running the workshops here - Donorbox or in the form below.
In partnership with Hudson Unearth, Shetland Songwriting Festival and Hudson Records.
