We can’t believe we’re already at the end of January and it’s time to bring you this month’s club exclusive. We’re delighted to kick off the year with a bit of fun from the amazingly multi-talented Sam Sweeney. Great to have some collaborations with fellow Hudson artists on this one too. This is what Sam had to say about it:
'Arcade Fire have long been one of my favourite bands and The Suburbs has to be one of the greatest records of all time. For me, it’s a timeless and classic record that ties together so many of my favourite things about music. It’s an album that has kept giving for the last twelve years. If you don’t own it you need to remedy that now - I promise you won’t regret it.
This little project of recording three of my favourite songs from the record was a lot of fun and, while I can’t begin to approach the brilliance of the originals, collaborating with Jon, Lucy and Neil on these songs was a huge amount of fun and provided a few days of distraction from the mundanity of lockdown existence… I hope you enjoy them!’
