Monthly Exclusive - Rob Harbron - A Week in June

This month’s exclusive comes from the brilliantly talented Rob Harbron. We invited Rob to create June's exclusive and after setting aside a week to write and record he came back with this beautiful EP. We’ve been over the moon to hear how the club has enabled artists to put aside time to create, compose and explore new ideas and hope you are enjoying the results as much as we are!

Rob is a member of the folk trio Leveret, (Sam Sweeney, Andy Cutting) with whom he has toured extensively and released four landmark albums, distributed by Hudson Records. He is also known for his work with a wide range of artists including Jon Boden and the Remnant Kings, Emma Reid, Emily Portman and The Full English, he has worked extensively with the National Youth Folk Ensemble and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Now he is exploring solo playing with a repertoire which includes settings of rediscovered traditional tunes as well as his many fine compositions. His debut solo album Meanderswas released in 2019 and is also distributed by Hudson Records and he has recently published a tunebook containing 54 original and adapted tunes.

Check out 'A Week in June’ on the club portal or download the audio on Bandcamp and add it to your collection.

Another new addition to the club this week is the Hudson Listening Club with The Lost Words: Spell Songs. We’ve made our Listening Club episodes, recorded during lockdown, into handy podcasts for you to enjoy when you’re out and about. This was a cracker of an episode so we hope you enjoy whether it’s new to you or you’re revisiting.
