This month we have an artist who might be new to some of our subscribers. Harriet Bradshaw has performed on M G Boulter’s latest EP release ‘A Shadow Falls Over New Brighton’ and joins us this month to share an acoustic EP recorded especially for the Hudson Club. You can catch Harriet out on tour this October with M G Boulter as well as her solo shows below!
With a signature sound encompassing elements as diverse as folk and musical theatre, Harriet is Teesside’s answer to the likes of Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell; a multi-instrumentalist bringing a mix of piano, cello, guitar and crystalline folk vocals to her unique songwriting. Harriet has worked with Mercury Prize nominated John Bramwell (I Am Kloot) for a number of years, as well as many North East artists such as Amelia Coburn, Tom Joshua, Nel Unlit, and Elaine Palmer.
Eyes At Two Sides Of My Head features five brand new songs written on piano, which were recorded during a weeklong residency at the Sage Gateshead. Harriet is also releasing her self-titled debut album on 4th November, and playing the following live dates:
4th November - The Waiting Room, Eaglescliffe
6th November - The Engine Room, North Shields
9th November - The Rose and Monkey, Manchester
10th November - Chalkwell Hall, Southend-on-Sea
