It’s not long until we welcome the wonderful Leeds based singer, songwriter & storyteller Iona Lane to Bishops’ House, Sheffield on Thursday 29th June.
Iona has been out supporting the incredible Karine Polwart on tour for the last 5 days and we’ve seen some beautiful collaborations over on socials so do check her out and book a ticket for her solo show. As well as a brilliant artist, Iona also helps us out here at Hudson Records behind the scenes and we’d love to give her a warm Sheffield welcome.
Iona released her debut album ‘Hallival’ in March 2022 to critical acclaim, reaching number 36 in the Folk Album Charts and airplay across the country including the folk shows on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio Wales. Iona's music draws inspiration from landscapes and the natural world, finding stories in rural locations of mythology, folklore and science and giving them new life in folk music.

Join us to celebrate the release of Liz Hanks' new record ‘Land’ with a specially developed audio walk of the Meerbrook/Heeley area followed by a short performance and signing at local record shop Spinning Discs.
14:00 Meet at Bishop’s House
14:15 Walkers begin audio walk (approx 1 hour walk)Meet at Bishops' House to join us on a special audio walk around the Meersbrook/Heeley area. Bring your own fully charged phone, headphones and walking shoes and we’ll help you get the walking app downloaded and talk you through the route before you set of either in a group or at your own pace to explore ‘Land’.
