Happy New Year everyone, we thought we'd leave you alone in January but we are back this month with our newsletter and the first releases of 2022. This January we've been in the studio, planning and recording new albums and I have been out on the road with The Lost Words Spell Songs, we hope you have all had a healthy start to 2022.

Both new releases this month are from the fantastic Sam Sweeney. The first, is Sam's new EP Solo, the EP was recorded at St Martin's church in Stoney Middleton, Derbyshire last September. It's the first in a series of EPs where Sam will showcase members of his wonderful band, checkout Solo on bandcamp and streaming platforms now!

There are lots of Hudson artists heading out on tour this Spring, Sam Sweeney has a handful of solo shows and then a full band tour in May, Lucy Farrell is out in March, we are also busy putting the finishing touches to her new album. Spiers & Boden announced their June tour recently, Salt House are out on the road again this Spring as is Jenny Sturgeon with her Living Mountain show, we are particularly looking forward to hosting our first Hudson live show with Jenny at the Drama Studio in Sheffield on May 14th, tickets are available now. We can't wait to also see Karine Polwart & Dave Milligan live this year.

The other latest release on Hudson Records is also from Sam Sweeney, 'Wasted Hours' is January's Hudson Club exclusive, it is Sam's take on his favourite album The Suburbs by Arcade Fire. It features Jon Boden, Neil McSweeney and Lucy Farrell and can be heard exclusively on the Hudson Club.
