A labour of time and love, we are over the moon to announce the new album ‘We are Only Sound’ from Lucy Farrell is available to pre-order NOW!

‘We are only Sound’ is the long-awaited debut album from Lucy Farrell. Odd, unconventional melodies, poetic, sophisticated song-writing and the bewitching clarity of Kent-born, Canada-based Lucy Farrell’s voice are made elegant with sparse, careful accompaniment on tenor guitar and occasionally viola, carving out a unique niche for an artist at the forefront of contemporary English folk music.

Lucy was joined by Kris Drever to record in a beautiful space in Shropshire, gifted by Gabrielle Drake (Nick Drake’s sister) and was given the privilege of playing Nick’s piano and guitar whilst creating the new record. Weaving beautiful melodies with intricate guitar playings and subtle electronic touches, ‘We are Only Sound’ is a record of ‘wonderings’ with Lucy’s voice at the forefront.

This latest studio album ‘Riverwoods' is a musical response to the feature-length documentary of the same name made by rewilding charity ‘SCOTLAND: The Big Picture’, and recently featured on Channel 5. A collection of both songs and instrumentals inspired by the journey of the atlantic salmon and the much-needed biodiversity along our river systems, pre-order ‘Riverwoods’ today on CD, DL, limited edition Sky Blue LP and a handmade super limited edition run of 12 signed Riverwoods lyric prints.

We had a brilliant night at Bishops House, Sheffield last week with a moving performance of The Young’uns theatre show ‘Johnny Longstaff’ We were joined by Johnny’s son Duncan and we felt privileged to be able to enjoy the show in such an intimate setting. Thanks to everyone who came out.
